WMS Bb1 Crystal Forest Refuses to boot

Hey everyone, I got a WMS Blue Bird 1 (green board) that refuses to boot past “Cash-2. 05a#” on the screen. I’ve tried letting it sit for an hour. And unplugged it and powered it back up. Still the same thing. This game is running Crystal Forest. Thank you for your time and help!

You have an NVRAM issue, probably a battery died or the cmos got zapped.  Replace batteries, clear and setup game again.

I do believe that’s the case. The former owner replaced the battery and ran into the same problem when booting. How can I tell if the cmos got zapped? And how do I clear the game? I am very new to this

You need a clear CF Card for a BB1 game like an 1810 clear.

I did find the clear card. I Powered down the machine. And I removed the Opperating System card ensuring that I was grounded (touched the metal part of the cabinet to discharge any static electrify before touching the cards). Then I inserted the Clear Card facing the same way as the operating System card (the WMS logo and the “clear card” text facing towards me) into the machine. I started booting up the machine and how it has a black screen. How long does it take for the clearing to happen?

It doesn't take long, should be about the same as booting a game.  Did you get errors of any kind while booting?  You should also remove the game card (although I didn't use to that before and never had any issues).  Post a picture of the bios chip inside the mpu (it is the eprom, the bigger 32 pin chip in a socket).  Also does your clear card say what version it is?
