Game King Multi Game Keno Payout Tables
« on: January 08, 2021, 04:49:38 PM »
Hello,
We have just bought 2 older IGT(2001 & 2003) Game King Multi Game machines.

The pay tables on the all of the Keno Games are all super low. Is there a way that I can adjust them back to "traditional" Vegas payouts that we're used to?  Currently 7/7 on a one bet (2 cent, 5 cent, quarter, dollar) is 400 coins.

Thanks in advance.

You'll need to get an Integrated Circuit (IC) extractor and what's called a "key chip" to change the keno games to better paytables.

You can buy one from among several folks on this forum. I believe RB sold me mine.

But beware, for you will unlock a whole new world of Game King obsession.

Haha. I hear you on the obsession. I’ve already ordered a newer version with a bigger variety of keno games on it.

I figure with the lockdowns in Canada and not being able to get to Las Vegas anytime soon it’s money well spent. At least I have something to show for my spending.

I’ve been told that the chip I need is a Key 22 or 40. Are they the same or what’s the difference?

The machines are great for when I can't be at the casino. I think I'm in my longest stretch without a casino visit in my adult life. Possibly my adolescent life too!

I believe Key 22 is for Game King software around your early 2000s era of machines. It works for most of my games.

Even older games take a Key 17.

So I got my Key22 and rearranged my games list.
I cannot see how to change those keno paytables.  I have a question - is the paytable tied to the game percentage rate that I'm allowed to change in the settings? I have them set at whatever the generous % rate is maybe I should lower it to get the pay rates that I'd like. Or is it the game chips that are set to that rate and the pays are set in stone.  7/7 win in keno should be 1750 credits instead of 400 credits

When I put the Keychip22 in it comes up with a message that says that I am Key Chip Menu Security Level 1 if that makes any sense.
I have a 3902 board, that much I know for sure. I contacted the fellow that I bought the Key22 from and he said to try a Key17.
I do appreciate any and all help.

DING DING! A light came on! It is the paytable percentages!

Solved my own problem.

Thanks all.

Glad you figured it out!

For video poker paytables, I'd refer to a site like www.wizardofodds.com to match the theoretical payback to the paytables. I think that site has a keno payback percentage calculator, so you might be able to enter your desired pay table and see if ther percentages align.
