No sound issue 044 board and flash

Restoring a game king that sat for a few years.

Bought a new 044 board from a reliable vendor here.  Board is not a factor.

Running all star poker flash.  Games work perfect, but no sound at all.

I tried to swap the amp, but no luck.  Ran diagnostics, still no sound.

I don’t have access to another flash, but by looking at old posts, thinking the flash is the culprit.

Anything else I can try before investing in a new flash?

Unfortunately that is the likely cause.  Seems like most develop a thermal intermittent issue.   Turn the machine on and check the sound.  If it's not there, leave the machine on for an hour or so, then shut it off and turn it back on.  Work now?  If so, that's a classic sign of a bad flash card from my experience.
