Have a new to me Barcrest S2000. Got the machine up and running just fine, but noticed that the left speaker wasn't working at all. I opened up the top glass and noticed it was disconnected and the wire was kind of tucked away. Easy fix I thought, so I plugged it in and turned the machine on again and it gave a loud, constant, static/white noise and the sounds wouldn't work at all. I have an extra set of speakers so I hooked up one temporarily to see if the speaker itself was bad, and sure enough it worked just fine. I swapped out the new one with the bad one, and the machine worked fine all yesterday with stereo sound. Turned it on this morning and it worked fine for a few hours then I came back into the room and it was giving off a pretty good buzzzzz through the speakers and no game sounds were working. Disconnect the new left speaker, and the right speaker is working just fine, no buzz.
Do I replace the little amp board that's in the top box? Or something else to look for first?
It's a 504B main board.
The amp board is 131-004-00 --- most of the ones I see for sale have the same layout but are 131-003-02 or 131-003-04. Does that matter?
