Alpha GameMaker - NVRAM write failed during clear AND NVRAM driver mount fail

Something else to check since another MPU was put in. Hope you follow me. On the plastic around pins on MPU & mother board make sure the notches in plastic match & mpu goes in all the way. About a year ago I had one that all but 1 notch were the same & it would not seat in all the way. Anything is worth checking.

What version of the 1gig board do you have?


2- What game was trying to be loaded when you got the FATAL FAULT NVRAM screen? GameMakerHD?


3 - I don't know what this means, maybe someone else can help, but I know some MPUs are listed as WRITE PROTECTED... don't know what that means exactly but one of your clear errors said can't write.. or whatever.

The game(s) tried and OS(s) were. GMSuite0 and GMSuite1, OS's tried were 336 and 323 with their appropriate bios. All OEM (except the clear, though it is on a bally card and works in all other machines)


I have also seen some are write protected boards but personally never had issues clearing ANY boards.. And have never seen these errors in person, the errors shown are from a board that was a replacement for a buddy.
