Bally alpha m9000 printer com error

I am getting a printer com error on my Bally m9000...
Worked fine before cf clear.
Printer feeds before game setup
Boots with bezel light on..then light goes off before game loads

Did you enable and select the correct printer when you set it up after clear?

2 cabinets 2 printers same error
Only have 1 m9000 mpu to test.

 You are not setting up the printer correctly. Tell us what printer is in the machine.

Printer worked last week in same machine.. Did not like progressive settings so changed
Now printer comes up with printer com error ..
Cleared with 312 card
Machine setting .Device config.epic 950
 it's a Epic rs232 950

I recently had the same problem. Printer always worked fine then I got a printer comm error. Two things I found wrong and I don't know which was the culprit. I suspect the cabinet was overheating because I found some fans weren't working. Also, the battery was getting low. I replaced the bad fans and changed the battery and never got that error message again.

I had something similar happen with an alpha from the Wynn. I changed the dip switches on the epic 950, then it worked ok. I'll look for the settings tomorrow.

Two pics show 2 settings that the dips were at for the machines.
Could be worth a try.
I would also check your mpu for bent pins at the back connectors.

The dip switches are on the side under a small clear plastic cover that just pops out. Just in case..

I always turn off the cabinet power before I press the printer release button and pull it out. Until I have it back in of course.

I've tried dip switch  with
 only 2 active
And 2/7 active
All pins are straight on mpu case
No luck still get com error
