Installed Gen 2 Printer but...

I installed a Future Logic Gen 2 printer in my Bally Alpha S9000 today. However it will not load the paper properly. Meaning it will not pull the paper from the paper stack into the printer.  When I start loading the paper, it try's to pull the paper in, but then makes a muted type sound and the paper seems to slip from the rollers and I can quickly see the paper kind of get a bit off center, then the printer goes to error.  I can manually get the paper feed into the printer where I can press the feed button and it will come out the front ticket slot. To clear the printer error, I unplug the flex cable and then plug it back to the printer.  But as soon as I hit the collect button it will make a quick noise and then start the receive ticket starts flashing and the upper monitor shows call attendant/paper gam.  Any ideas?

you just get printer?  might be bad , check for something  jammed in there

Well it came with everything needed to install it in my cabinet.  The wiring harness face plate, tray/bracket etc.  The printer doesn't seem to have anything gammed in it I looked, took manually used the rollers and the paper feed all the way through etc.  I can manually get the paper through the printer and out the front slot and hit feed and the paper comes out like I'd expect. It's just once I press the collect button it just makes a quick noise and then "call attendant" appears on the upper monitor and when I open the upper door it says paper jam.  But if I press the feed button the paper comes out fine.

Did you "install" the printer in the Setup program?

buybestslots "Upside Down"...  The ticket paper I have is Bally's Atlantic City Fast Cash Ticket preprinted on one side and blank on the other.  The blank side does say "Insert This Side Up",  and I'm literally loading it with that side facing up.

The "Insert This Side Up" is for casino patrons (when inserting in a machine), NOT for loading the machine with tickets Look for the black marks not the bottom side of the ticket, and align them with the black marks on the bottom of the printer.

Open the front of the printer and check for a jam between the 2 black rollers.  Some times it's hard to find but there is probably a small piece of ticket printer paper in there.  You can roll the rollers with your fingers.

WOW! What a newb mistake!  My Voucher looks GREAT!!!!   The paper was upside down that was the only issue with what I was doing....  Seems like that was the easy part to get right... right!
