IGT s2000 printer help.
« on: May 29, 2015, 08:20:04 PM »
I have an IGT s2000 7 times pay slot machine. Works great, had to replace the Main battery and everyone on this site was VERY helpful. The slot does not print tickets it simply makes a noise and sais "please call attendant for hand payout. I watched some youtube videos which said to buy a key chip 31. However in operator mode i have access to all setting shown after the key chip is put in. I can test print a ticket just fine. Under printer options it is enabled. Printer cashout menu is enabled, I enter the Key Chip Config II and am able to enable printer however still advances to hand pay upon cashing out. I was wondering what else to try, i think it would be cool to be able to print out tickets after winning alot! let me know and thank you all so much!

Assuming you do not have a TITO system.
Set cashless controller 7.1.5 to disabled. Also set 7.2.1.1 validation type to SAS standard mode. You will need to key the mpu to do this. See if that will let you print a ticket.

I was not able to locate any hopper limit option on my machine under the operator menu.

Cashless controller is disabled and validation type is set at "enhanced Mode" I am new to owning slots, and do not know how to key the mpu, is it bu purchasing the key chip 31? Thank you both!!

Just for future information, all your limit settings are in menu 3 under machine settings sub menu. Limits can be changed without a keychip, but there needs to be zero credits on the machine. About the only thing you can change with credits on the machine is the volume settings.

You're going to need a system to use that with TITO.  I think there are some aftermarket systems that aren't too bad but they're still expensive.  If it's home use, I would strongly advise against it.  It can be a pain.

OK, I'm new to this stuff as well.  On the subject of printing out tickets in a setup at home, maybe you can help me clarify.
Can we set up a machine to both print out tickets at home as well as accept those tickets back into the machine?  I'm talking about the machines that we pick up that are retired directly from the casino.
Or, am I hearing that we might be able to get them to print tickets to cash out, but the machine won't accept it because it needs some kind of external validation system to do so?
Here is the other thread I started.

With an aftermarket TITo unit installed your machine will accept ANY ticket you put in whether it was printed from that machine or another and they can be reused. There are other options available with TITO also, such as push button credit adding and controlling administrative options from your personal computer, cell, tablet, whatever. Contact one of the suppliers listed under the subject on the homepage and they can get you a unit with installation instructions for around $80 or so

But aside from purchasing an after market TITO System, there is no way to set up to print a ticket and put it back into the same machine for credit, using the existing equipment?

Absolutely not, to put tickets in you have to install a TITO system. It's just a small circuit board, power plug and a wiring harness, really not a big deal at all

I'm new to NLG Forums.  I was just trying to be helpful.  Since I've only ever worked with the real player tracking systems and heard rumors of guys knocking this off with sentinel 2 boards, I didn't know I was "blind."  I'm actually amazed at the things I am learning here sometimes with machines I thought I'd seen everything for haha.
