WTB: WMS Bluebird Dean Martin's Wild Party

Hi All,

So my wife has REALLY fallen in love with this game and has been giving me somewhat of a nod that this game would be fun to own.  I know absolutely nothing about WMS Bluebird games.  A few questions...

Can kits be swapped in and out?
Does TITO work with it?
My IGT 3902 and S2000 run off of tickets and tokens.  Can these as well?
What would this game run price wise?  Ballpark...
Anything else that I should know would be appreciated.

Here is some advice I will throw at you....


1) Find any WMS Bluebird. Don't worry about the theme. Worry about it working and make sure IT HAS THE PRINTER and BILL VAL!! So many vendors will pull the ticket printer. And worry about the price. You can always change out the game/theme later.


2) Find a cabinet with the square topper, not a round top or shop top. Why? Because if you want to convert that bird to a NXT 2, it will fit your top monitor nicely. I had a round top and luckily someone was very nice to send me a square topper for free...


3) Upgrade the MPU to a NXT 2. Games run smoother and if you convert to widescreen monitors, you'll have the newer Dean Martin Reel Boost.




There are so many possibilities to Bluebirds. If your set on one theme, then forget what I suggested. Even my favorite game (Vampires Embrace) gets stale after a while.

I have to stay in check with this one.  The upgrades have to be at a minimum, otherwise I may not have a wife anymore.  She does love Dean though.  :)

Ok, but I think it will take self control like you never had to do. I love my IGT stuff but this WMS is in another league (in my opinion).
There are some great BB1 games and then some fantastic BB2 games. I just love Great Eagle Returns, Kronos and Gorilla Chief  for starters.
Oh crap, don't forget Van Helsing, Lord Of The Rings And 6 Episodes of Star Trek!!! and a whole bunch of other stuff. The other thing I like about the machine I got is it has 2 - 22 inch monitors. Talk about have a gaming field to look at....
I hope you enjoy your machine and good luck with it.  :applause: :fryingpan:  Icon on the left is from your wife when you have to get more games or UPGRADE..hehehe

There are some games that I've been looking at, but from what I've read it sounds like some BB2 games can be played on BB1 hardware, but at a cost in performance right?  I'm all for swapping games in and out, but if there is choppiness and poor video performance with BB2 games due to limitations of the BB1 hardware, I'll stick to the games that were designed specifically for BB1 hardware.  Unless you guys know of BB2 games that will perform fine on BB1 hardware. 

I'm sure that I have a lot to learn.

Jason,  welcome to WMS.  They are a lot of fun.  What size topbox are you going with? And is it dual screen or single?  Im not a printer fan so i havent really played around or paid much attention to them. One of my machine came with one installed but i never use it nor will.  If your interested in it let me know. 


As far as coin, i belive its avilable but ive never really seen it.  I just stick to the bills, its a lot easier.


Anyway congrats on the machine.

Hey Lenny, 

Great to hear from you.  Yeah, I'm drinking from the fire hose learning all of this.  Been a lot of fun so far.  First thing is setting up the hardware for coin in/out with silver dollar tokens set with partial pay. 

Next, I'll probably get player tracking and bling up the font panels a bit.  Got a lot to learn still.

Then some good BB1 kits...don't know what's out there, but Super Jackpot Party is next in line.
