WTB / WTT - Mummy long reel glass

Looking for a nice long reel glass. Or I have a nice short reel I'd be willing to trade plus some cashola.

Now when did you pick that game up?  The long Mummy themed reel glass does not exist.  If it does, I'd pay up the wazoo for it.  I have the short glass sitting in storage unfortunately and just use black.  On the old forum, I even tried rounding up the Mummy troops to see about going in on a group buy with Sunkist in LV to make one.  No love unfortunately.

Hmm.. I didn't know that.. Shat!  Guess I'll delete this WTB.. - How much did Sunkist want per glass? Have them do up this topper my best friends dog made also (No design fee).


Only reason I wanted one is because the cabinet is strictly long reel.. The cherry, optic and power supply get in the way of a reel glass printer. I could always swap out cabs with another machine I guess.

If you search "mummy reel glass" on the old forum, you'll probably see my post with the details.

It's the only theme that I have that I can't use the correct reel glass with.  Sucks!

Will look that up. - Why IGT didn't make long reel for this title boggles my mind.. In my opinion long reel just looks better, but I guess people will toss their life savings away regardless in a casino. Next time I go to my local casino I will take pics of the turds they have, some you can barely see the symbols on the strips due to fade.. Or clear packing tape ran completely around the reel to hold the strip.. Ha


The topper insert wasn't hard to make. It's not as thick as an OEM but looks good. (pic taken installed in a LED oval topper, not floro, so kinda bright)

Yeah, on our last Vegas trip, I couldn't believe the condition of some of the S2000s that I saw.  Bleached out strips, symbols that were partially scraped off.  And good Lord...the fade on some of the glass made me hurl.  I've even seen scotch tape on buttons.  My favorite is playing S2000s with the sound completely turned off.  That's a treat!  You'd think management would frown on that, but if the casino biz is in a pinch or if new machines are coming soon to replace them, they'll squeeze every last drop of blood out of them.

I always wonder if any of those turds wind up in homes.

Ha, yep.. I played a Barcrest a few wks back that had the wrong SIMM, it would make piercing sounds when it was supposed to play tunes.. Plus it was on max volume.. Worst part was I got a bonus right away and had to sit through it, have had tinnitus ever since..


Thanks for the bad news on the long reel glass, J.  If I stumble across another topper insert I'll let you know.  :cool_thumb_up:

We returned from Las Vegas about a Month ago. Went to a Funeral at the South Shores, Lake Las Vegas, Henderson. Big Money!
The Casino's get Poked in the Eye when they purchase these Machines. I.G.T. thought the Casino's would replace the Faded out strips, for another Poke in the Eye.
Some did, some didn't.
If you notice, when watching the Players, most don't care. They just sit down and Play.
I myself will not play one of those faded out Ugly machine.

Right. But still, at $150ish for a set of strips directly from IGT you'd think they'd buy a set once players couldn't see the symbols, or when the machine is throwing tilts cause the strips are hanging off..


This went off topic and belongs in the rants section, sorry.. I will happily start that thread once I take some pics of the turds next time I hit the casino..
