IGT Big times Pay Minor Issues

Ok so I picked up an IGT S2000 Big Times Pay, with base and topper for $550...machine is in great condition looks wise...I am having 2 minor issues.  The first issue is reel 4 never lights up.  The lightbulbs are good as I checked those.  Any ideas?  The second issue is the sound...on a win, the payout sound will be playing then just cut out abruptly.  Other then those 2 issues, this machine plays very well and looks great in my basement

For the reel lighting problem have you tried moving reel #4 to another position, like swapping it with reel #3? See if the problem moves to the new location or stays at the 4th reel position?

Can't move the 4th reel.  It is one of those 3 + 1 games where the 4th reel is on a separate and weird assembly.  Which lights are you referring to?  The ones around the square or the reel backlight?  I don't believe the backlight ever comes on on that game, I could be wrong though because it has been at least 2 years since I put mine on the machine.  You could run an I/O test to see if the lights come up in a diagnostic.

The led lights do activate on a 3+1 bonus win and go around the perimeter on any of these machines.  As Rick stated they are not interchangeable. As far as the sound-sounds like a bonus issue on dsv card -if all else works ok on normal play-check your settings and make sure you are using enhanced multi media sound (prefered).

The lights around the bezel light up.  The lights behind the reel do not come on.  I did go into the I/O and nothing there either...unfortunately the 4th reel is not movable to another reel as its a "special" reel.

Does the back of reel lights come on?  The green lights around the perimeter do come on during the bonus but not the lights behind the reel

watching some videos online of this game, the reel backlight does come on during the bonus round...so i def. have an issue.  damn lol

Big times pay is a dedicated sound card .. so no enhanced sounds.

That's a normal rollup sound for BTP.  It does end rather abruptly, but that's just the way it is.  DSV0051 is the correct sound simm for it.

I don't have access to my wiring diagrams right now, but I'd double check the connections on the backlight controller board.

Took out the backlight board. Appears good. I looked online and it appears to newer versions out there...could this one possibly be bad?
