New guy here,
I've come to the conclusion that info for these 903/904 boards are scarce at best. I've also concluded that there are some talented people here that might be able to help me out.
I picked up a home/early arcade double up poker rig for next to nothing. No coin hopper. They guy I got it from said the crt was dead, and his "friend" was in the process of converting it to lcd.
I got the crt working, minus the screen burn. I'll do a tv tube swap after I get this game working. I simply removed his converter board, and spliced on a molex connector for the chasis.
Working crt.
Here's a few pics of the board and the game. There is no mention of omega, any form or board number, only a qc stamp on the board. No data plate, model number, nothing on the cabinet, other than a sticker(pic below) From the stickied 2 pages of schematics from this forum, I've applied my best guess that this is a early 903. (
)
The game plays blind(ish), as I can make out cards and the buttons all work. I'm unable to make out any info from the test screen. The first 3 discard buttons at the same time exit test mode.
The screen is saturated in blue/green. The color pots on the board have little effect. The horizontal sync mostly ineffective. If I adjust the horz on the monitor, I can sort of see it. The picture is half a frame off of center.
There was a burned trace on the solder side of the board that lands on the h sync pin (yellow (I think it was)). I soldered a jumper, and did a continuity check all the way to the sw2 dip switch.
The caps look fine, but I know that doesn't mean much. I'll order new ones. The 1/2AA battery holds a charge. The voltage pot will cause the board to blank when turned full counter clockwise. I removed all chips and applied Deoxit to the sockets and chip pins. no noticeable effect.
Can anyone help guide me through the video output circuit? Without a schematic to work from, it like driving blind. Or if anyone still works on these, I'd consider shipping the board out.
I was wanting to ship this to my dad for fathers day, as he's a video poker junkie, but that's not going to happen by tomorrow...........
Thanks, Mike
