I'm working on a hopper empty problem on CEI Draw poker with Omega board 904.  I have a manual for a 910??? with version 26.6.  I understand this is not really compatible with the 904 board but has been helpful.  One question I have is about the inside door switch.  I never get to the learn/dispute and other screens.  Nothing happens on the screen when I hit test.  I can get the ram test and button screen up and exit with buttons 1,2,3.  I never get anything else on the display with that test screen or at anytime when I hit test.   Am I missing something?  I'm pretty techy.  It has been intermittent and worked for several payouts of 5-15 coins last week when I last looked at it then went to hopper empty.  Any help is appreciated.
Anybody have a manual for the version I have.  In the 26.6 version there are menus and things for hopper stuff but I don't know about the 904 board.

Have you inspected the wiring in and around the hopper itself? I haven't taken my hopper out in years so I'm don't remember if it just shoves in or has a wire bundle with a molex. Either way, I'd check any pins on both sides first.
You said it was intermittent but does resetting make it work again? That is, if you have the key.

Mine has a harness that plugs to a mother board.  I have looked at and worked on the connector that goes to the mother board but haven't had a chance to put assembly back in.  Would the error reset itself?  I don't have a 'floorman' key on the machine.  Will it reset itself when the condition goes away?  What constitutes a reset?  Thanks.

On my CEI it's a turn of that key. You can just disconnect the wires from the inside and use a toggle switch until you can get a replacement switch, but I think it's more than just a reset if the issue is intermittent.

Problem resolved.  Bad wire in the connector from the hopper assembly that went to the motor that dispenses the coins.  After 6 seconds since motor didn't turn and coin count switch didn't activate---hopper empty.  The other switch in the hopper that used to be for when the machine dumped the hopper to a drop box when there were too many coins and it alerted the attendant that it had 'dropped' the coins.  In this machine it no longer has any meaning---just knowledge for someone else maybe.  Thanks for your response.  I also did a machine reset by pulling the RAM chip.  Got another one to work on now!

Good to hear!
It's rewarding giving new life back to old games. Hmmm that sounds familiar?  :applause:
