From your picture, I would think the chip you need to swap out would be U49.  Layout wise, that part of the circuit looks to be the same as my US based PE+ board.  I'd suggest tracing one of the video lines back thru the output transistor to the IC just to be sure.  Please let us know how this  turns out for you.

How are the projects going?

Life also has me distracted from working on this.  Not enough hours in the day!!  Still plan to put this together when I have a chance.

Does anybody out there have one of these already assembled and working they'd like to part with??

Konami Games / Help ID Konami Advantage Board

Need to clear a board I got new software for, but not sure what board I have or which clear card I need. Any help appreciated! Thanks

I did twist the light into the button and it did lock. I could swear they're hitting the switch, but maybe I wasn't seeing it right. I just find it odd that the original buttons the machine came with had this problem... and now the new buttons have the same problem. One thing I know for sure is that the smaller buttons have some wiggle room which allows the player to, with some force, slide the button around and rotate it while it's in the panel. It's not a perfect fit. I'll look again when I get back to the machine and report back to this thread.

I'm shooting my shot here and putting this out there. I'm a serious buyer. If anybody has a Wheel of Fortune S2000 or S-AVP who is willing to sell, and possibly ship, then I'm interested. If you've got one and want to discuss, please PM me. Thanks.

HI Pokie 3
sorry i wasnt aware of the inbox was full i might have to clear those
Thank you very much for your help
I really dont know exactly how i fixed it all it was just going over stuff and trying other stuff and yes i did get another board but that wasnt the issue
the opto fault fixed itself when i went back to the original optos and set it up on a board
the coin validator issue was either the loom connection or the driver board swap i think either way it finally worked
ive got 3 different games also and got the game to suit the decal as well
Next thing id like to know if possible is to upgrade the note mech or get one to suit MK6

Think of the GAME (SP) chip as the operating system of the machine (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10, etc.). Each version of the SP chip supports certain game types. So long as your currently installed SP chip supports the new game type, you don't have to change it out.

Even with an unlabeled chip, you can determine the current chip numbers in your machine with the instructions found on this page.

I saw that an need to check the SP chip version. Thank you for the reminder. I appreciate it.

Aristocrat Video Gaming Machines / Re: MK6 Call Attendant Coin Optic Fault
« Last post by pokie3 on Yesterday at 11:54:13 PM »
Thats great news, I only logged in now, I couldn't PM you a few weeks back because your message box was full (like mine was before!) - shame they only allow a few messages.

But anyway, the final option was to just buy or borrow some spare boards, as you have done. There might of been something funny with the driver board that was upsetting the door optics and coin mech.. etc then I was going to suggest setup the machine without coin mech and just use the note acceptor if that works. Did you swap back and test that again, if it was just a loose plug all along that's good because you have a spare driver board.

Glad you got it working. These things sometimes chuck you in the deep end, but you end up knowing the machine more and at least you have some spare boards which are getting harder to come by.
