the cash can switch is wired directly from the motherboard to the switch.  the wires are: from J-10 on the motherboard, pin 5 a blue/grey wire to the switch from the switch to pin 6 of J-10 a solid green wire.  If you unplug this connector and put a set of meter leads on pins 5 & 6 you should read 0 ohms, indicating that the switch has been bypassed and that wiring is correct,  if the wiring is correct, then the only item left if a bad motherboard or a connector somewhere isn't making a good connection. you already replaced the board.

as for the WBA unit doing the stand alone test (switch 123 & 8 on)  turn 8 to off, unit should cycle briefly, then insert bill, it should accept it and deposit it into the vacant cash can area.  if it doesn't do this then your WBA is defective,  if it were me, I would replace it with a MEI unit, these units will pull the bill from your fingers when accepting.

Jim, Results from the WBA,,,,,123&8 on. Turn 8 off,,,,Unit cycles,But Will Not Accept Any Bill...So Bad WBA,,,i'll check on the MEI

My apologies to those friends helping me out with my machine.....Have a sick father -in - law (terminal) and i havent been able to work on anything.

Guys,,,i have gotten another Bill Validator and Cash Can.....Re-connected cash door switch.
When i turn on machine i still get DOOR OPEN MB ERROR and BILL VAL STACKER ERROR!!! i can go to the (options menu) and open and close the door to make the DOOR 0/1 start blinking!!!
Would really like to play this machine!!!!

Thanks so much to senior member RB,,,,I had a bad  MPU board i had bought from SlotspotAZ i meet here! wrong stepper chips. And bascialy the whole 502 board was incorrect....
Needed a 504 B board,,,,,,correct board,correct stepper chips,   and everything is working great.

RB is a great guy, he’s helped me more then once. What game are you running that you needed a 504 board? I can understand the wrong stepper chips, but a 502 and 504 boards work in the S2000 format.. Can you post a pic of you machine?

The 502 board would've worked had it been good. Wouldn't get past door open M even with the optics bypassed. Since he had to get another one, I told him to get a 504 because he wanted to use a MML & SIMM. The WBA had a comm issue & wouldn't cycle even with a fresh flash.

Ok thanks RB. I just wanted to verify for future readers. Agreed the 504 board is the better of the two boards for running the sound simm. But a good 502 board would have also worked if it were used.
