my friend has a igt avp we turn it on and got a error saying storage authentication fail  will reboot in 30 sec. please help

If the ribbon cable coming out of the mpu is not damaged and connected securely on both side, then the hard drive has gone either bad or corrupt on the mpu.  If the problem keeps happening, you will need to wipe hard drive and reinstall os and game(s).  If you can't wipe it, then the hard drive is bad.

Yes, if you have to wipe your drive, you need to make sure you have an ekey and the game installers for the games you had before, plus the OS installer as well.

im new to this machine i only used gamekings and bb1  is the ekey you mention would that still be in the machine or is that something you install then remove from machine thanks

The ekey is a security USB dongle that needs to used during any configuration changes to an AVP platform.  The universal key is an EKEY 7.  If you have anything AVP, you need an EKEY if you ever want to install new games or restore your machine from a dead battery situation or any kind glitch.
