IGT SMLD NO SYNC ON MAIN MONITOR

Hi all, I’m getting “no sync” on my main monitor when I turn on my machine. The machine was playing perfectly, until last week. I had played it for a couple of hours, then turned it off. A few days later I go to turn it on again and noticed no sync on the monitor. I turned it off and checked to see if anything was loose. I restarted the machine, and again the same message. The fans on the monitor are working, and I checked the cables from the power supply to the cpu and they were connected properly. I purchased a power supply, installed it and still the same message. I’ve checked the forum for possible solutions and saw that it may be a battery issue on the cpu. I’m going to pick up a replacement just in case, but if anyone out there can help me out I would really appreciate it.

Does the top monitor have the AVP splash screen on it?  If it doesn't, it's the mpu causing the issue.  Also the mpu should emit a short beep a few seconds after it powers up, if it doesn't, then that means the mpu is not getting past "POST" (Power On Self Test).

Just powered it up, the red light flashes briefly on the mpu, then turns off and It didn’t make a beep sound. Is it just that the mpu went bad? Could this be fixed or would I have to buy a new one?

MPU is bad, or somehow the bios chip (BOOT1) go zapped (although rare, it does happen).  I would try another MPU, you should keep a working spare anyway, these MPU's are now over 10 years old in most cases and thus prone to failure.  I have one that just went bad on me.  They are easy to find now, but that won't be the case in the near future as the AVP 3.0 platform is pretty much getting dumped out of casinos in favor of the new Crystal cabinet and AVP 4.0.  If you just remove the PCI card along with the hard drive and install them on the new MPU, all the settings should be preserved.  If you have show boot bios, make sure and move those to the new mpu as well.

Update: bought an mpu and transferred the hard drive and pci card. Reconnected all cables to the mpu and powered it on. This time there is a beeping sound(Every 2-3 seconds), but it still says no sync on the monitor. Still trying to figure this out

Worked on it again this morning, and found that the memory sticks in the mpu were not properly seated. 
I connected everything and powered it on and it booted up. I installed my ekey and so that I could enable the games and it gave me another error “game theme not licensed”. I made sure that I set the time, and it’s still giving me that error. All the games are showing in the menu, but it’s not letting me enable them. Is there a step in the menu section where I can fix this?

You need to move over the 2 bios chips (one on the pci card, which you already did by moving the old one over,  and one on the mpu board).  Your older mpu had show bios chips which allows you to run the games without license dongles.  Your new mpu probably has standard bios chips.
