Hi Guys..... Newbie here looking for some knowlege

I'm a new owner of a S_ AVP model #96499412. It's setup with Family 14 Game King software and includes about a dozen slots, Keno, Roulette, and Blackjack. I'm enjoying playing all the games and am looking to learn as much as possible while adding a few more slot games to my current setup. The Slot game Pinball is installed and the bonus portion shows sideways up top. Other than that, I don't know much about this machine, such as: which platform, brainbox, cabinet style/ number, etc.  I'd like to know these things for future reference. I've purchased an EKey 7, and a diagnostic key for future use.

I could probably remove and replace components with some guidance (Youtube Video), but I'm in no way a tech. So, I have been reluctant to poke around much inside the cabinet. I read a post on here that says more or less, "If it's working correctly, don't mess with it". That's been my takeaway so far. I really apreciate the knowlege pool here and look forward to learning as much as my brain will absorb.

If you have a gameking software, then you don't have an S-AVP (S-AVP is a stepper slot, with mechanical reels).  You have an AVP Video slot.  If you have a dual layer main display, then you have an SMLD avp machine.

If you have family 14 games, most likely you have a 3.0 mpu (it should be labeled on the mpu box).  If you have that many games, then you probably have a show bios, which means you do not need license dongles in order for the games to play.  To add games you will need a family 14 game loader and an ekey7 in order to enable the option to enable and add games among other things.  It is also worthwhile to get a diagnostic usb flash drive so you can clear the machine in case you ever run into issues.  You will also need it to get back into a working state when your nvram battery eventually runs out and needs replacement.

A photo of your machine both outside and inside will help determine for sure what it is you have.

Your phone pics have metadata that retain orientation. You need to just save them in a real computer, then resave in the upright position. If they are upright already, give them a 360 degree flip and it will save the correct orientation. I've never checked but you might be able auto adjust each photo in your phone, save again -  then try posting them. I fixed your first set. The last few you posted probably aren't needed.

You do have an SMLD slot avp 3.0 machine.  You have 3.0M 625 model avp MPU.  Nice machine BTW.  The machine might have been at one point an S_AVP, but somebody might have coverted it, since the cabinet is basically the same.  Most native SMLD machines do not have a pull handle, so it was probably an S-AVP stepper before it was converted.

That's great to know. I'm currently looking for a few more slot games to install. Should any Family 14 games be compatible with this machine?

as long as they are stand-alone video titles (do not require a linked connection to a server or a controller).
