IGT G23: TITO CASH OUT HANDPAY

I know this topic has been discussed previously, but couldnt find a solution. I too have a couple of IGT 23s with TITO Deluxes installed on both of them, probably 40% of the time when I cash out I get a ticket and the other 60% it halts and gives a handpay instead. Anyone come up with a solution for this?

Hi.  Does the amount of the ticket have anything to do with it?   It could be that the hand pay is set too low in the machine settings.  If the amount is random then there is something preventing the ticket from being generated.  Could be a printer problem or the Tito card could be having trouble communicating with the machine.

Hey, unfortunately nothing to do with the amount of the ticket. Thanks though. I think its a communication with the TITO, but its both machines and its a common problem.

I also have the same issue, but I just live with it.  I have heard that some have solved it by installing another RS-232 daughtercard and not using the one that is built-in to the G23's backplane.  You will also need to change the comm port number while doing the SAS setup to the one where you plugged in the daughter card.

Is the guy who created the TITOs on this forum? Or a link to anyone who had luck its just getting frustrating having to clear the handpay when the TITO doesnt work!

If you have a bettor Tito, you can contact them about their product, but if you bought a generic off e-bay, then you are out of luck.  I just live with the issue, I mean it's not like turning the jackpot reset key is all that time consuming.  By the way the problem is not just with IGT's, it happens periodically on my bally alpha's.  At one time, I was told to press the reset button on the tito device after the machine is fully booted.  I hardly ever cash out on my machines, I already have a huge stack of paper with various printed amounts.

Is it all TITO boards that have this issue?  I have one of bhinkley's early TITO boards installed in mine and haven't run into this problem.  Maybe just lucky so far?  Cashing out is not something that I do with any frequency.  I normally only do it I want to change a setting that requires you to ditch the credits first.

If both boards present the same issue I would venture to say that it is something with either hardware or software in the machines. I know with my boards some bluebird machines would have the issue that it would handpay when cashed out. After researching for quite a while I was able to confirm it was a software glitch is the WMS os version that would cause it to lose connection with the board. It was actually an issue that caused problems in casinos with that one to so much so that they released a new os version that fixed the problem. I wonder if it could be a similar issue with the software on the g23 cabinets?
