non edge lit dynamic buttons

Anyone take these apart to clean?  I recently picked up a machine and the buttons work, but get sticky after it sits for a lil while.  I'm guessing someone spilt pop on them while the machine was in the casino.  Just wondering if the caps come off like with my game king, or if the clear plastic caps are permanently mounted.

I have been able to take the caps off to clean. Be very careful removing them from the machine. the ribbon cables are very fragile. after they are out of the machine you can remove the clear plastic cap by sliding a very thin piece of metal on two sides of the cap between the cap and the black body to release the tabs holding the cap on.  not easy and you need to be very careful through the whole process.
