I have an AGT AVP 20 that will take my voucher in upside down but then give me a message "gaming machine unable to redeem at this time" and spit back out?

It's set to validate tickets and it takes a good look at it and then shoots me that message. If I put it in face up it flat out spits it back out.

Just because it is set to validate tickets doesn't mean it will work.  You need to have the circuitry to actually validate a ticket, like a Bettor TITO device or similar.  Just setting up the machine to validate SAS isn't enough, you actually need a SAS destination source (a sever in the casinos, or the TITO board at home) in order to validate the ticket.   The reason why it takes a while and "thinks" about it is because it is trying to contact the SAS host and when it times out, it says it can't do it at this time.

Yes I have the "old style" E3, 4 &5 keys. Wish I had a E7 but I manage.
