I would try replacing the power supply for the monitor, the other option is to replace monitor but that is going to be costlier, you should have a spare power supply anyway, while supplies are plentiful.

What is the monitor power supply?  Is this different than the main power supply?  Do you have a picture of 1?

Thanks.

It is usually a rectangular box.  Look at the harness on the monitor that is probably square and has yellow and black wires coming out of it (and maybe some orange ones) and follow it.  The other end should be the power supply.

The other end of monitor power goes into a board in the back of the machine that everything is plugged into.

I forgot that on a G23, the power to the monitor is supplied by the main power supply.  Have you tried replacing the main power supply?  Also check the grounding strap on the door, there should be one toward the bottom of the door that goes from the main cabinet to the door, it is a braided flat cable.

Update on this issue incase anyone else ever runs into it.

Last week the back screen in my MLD monitor went bad.  After getting a replacement, the screen tearing issue I was having is gone.

So if you have screen tearing, most likely the monitor needs replacing to fix it.

Thanks to everyone on here who provided input trying to help me get this fixed.
