1114-3 win meter

Hi boys, I can't get my win meter counting correcty. As I also have a 1114-4 with a mechanical meter, which is working great, I could switch the hoppers, nothing is wrong with the hopper, works fine in the 1114-4. What to do any idea? cheers Herbie

what is it doing?

you can test it by briefly touching wire 30 to the count or reset terminals.  If it doesn't behave then, does it look like you can take it apart?

Hi Wolf,

did what you said, contecting yello with black-green, counter jumps with 3, 2 or 1, a mess. At least we know it is the meter. Opened the meter and also found below text on our NLG site:

'Great advise!! I checked the win meter as you have said and when I crossed the count wire with the number 1 wire it would still count in 2's so this led me to believe there was a problem with the win meter, I took it apart and noticed there was a 100 uf 16 volt capacitor that crossed over one of the chips...In my past experience these caps are known to go bad without any signs so I changed it and guess what, it works perfectly now,
its like a new machine! I cannot thank you enough DavidLee for all the information and guidance you have given me to get this far since I had no idea where to start or what to look for.., you are truly the best!!! Thank you!!!"

Great advice and perfect conclusion, this is one for the book.

Had a similar problem a few weeks ago, but it was just dirty contacts.
Cleaned the B switch and the related contacts on the payout step up unit.
