I get are 9's in the display windows

I have a Bally Pro slot 6000 (Sevens), with an 83F error code. I installed the ram clear chips U12 & U15 turned the power on, while holding the pseudo button in, released it and all I get are 9's in the display windows (credits, coins in and win windows) The whole display just flashes on and off with all 9'showing at once. any clues? I have the same problem on my (Black & White Double Jackpot). Any clue as to what I am doing wrong? Any pointers would sure be appreciated. Thank you.

You mentioned you held the  pseudo button in. You should be holding both the pseudo and test buttons at the same time. Have you checked your battery? low battery can also cause the button panel to flash.

Clear chips on a 6000 co in u-28 and u-43 , Are you sure its a 6000 ? or 5500 ?

It's a 5500, I changed the battery. I put in the Clear chips and got a 9's flashing. I seen an old post here on ngl that said to do a hard clear by moving jumper J-10 onto both pins. I did that and then I got a good Clear. I how have the Sevens working. Thanks guys for the quick replies.
