Printer issues?
« on: June 22, 2015, 08:50:49 PM »
I have an S2000 that was working fine some time ago.  Recently, It goes to handpay for everything.  The printer never prints.
The paper is installed correctly, the cam lock is set.  The ready light on the printer is on...

Any ideas?

I installed a TITO unit - Since then No printed output, and no tickets accepted.

It has been cleared/keyed, and reset to settings matching a known good machine.

You say you installed a Tito system, did you also set the machine up according to the directions provided with the Tito unit? It sounds like some of your settings are incorrect.
Does the machine settings you copied from a known good machine also have Tito? If not that's your problem.

Yes, the machine I copied the settings from also has a TITO.  Also - the TITO did work in this machine.

Also I validated all the settings in the TITO guide.  All is correct.

Going to pull the TITO out and see what happens.

Pulled the TITO - No change.
Changed machine option to Cash Out - Enable Player Menu
Now when cashing out the message on the VFD is: Press Cashout for Handpay | Sorry, the printer is unavailable|Press MaxBet to Cancel

So, I opened the cabinet and the printer error light is on.
Seen here:

any ideas on printer error?

OK, ignore the previous pic.  I had the cam unlocked.

Still, I reseated the paper and still the error - printer is unavailable.

If you remove the Tito unit you must also change the settings for a machine without a Tito unit. IE legacy bonus etc must be changed back.

If you go to the I/o test menu can you get the printer to work there?

I think it says hopper/printer. I'm not near a machine so I can't check the exact location now.
Have you tried netplex device search?

Do you have the grey ribbon cable that connects to the mother board and power distribution box?

First picture is the cable from the back of the printer.

Second picture is an overview of the lower cabinet.

TITO is resting there to be out of the way for the view.

Solved.  Faulty TITO was the issue.  Here's a picture - see if you can see why.  I'll bet you can.

Now, I SWAPPED with a known good TITO and It still won't accept vouchers.  I'm guessing this is a setting/options issue.  I'll open a new topic for that if no answer is apparent.
