Did this happen out of the blue or is this a machine you have never seen working? The restart part makes me think chips are mismatched. The closure M is the main door and could be easy as the door optics not aligned or the green VARTA battery may have leaked and ruined the board. Please try to give as many details as possible.

Machine was working fine, moved it to a different location & the prob started.

Check your connections then. Moving it caused something to move. Of course check with power off. May be as simple as mpu needs to be reseated. You will get closure M anytime you open the door. Usually lifting the latch several times will clear that. When you moved the machine, was it on it's back? I have seen coins get stuck in bad places too.

Machine was moved in an upright position, I reseated the io cards, mpu, power supply, & checked for any loose plugs, no change. Did a clear/key, re setup the game. Still have closure m reset. put in another board, diff, chipset, no clear. stuck on closure m, but reset went away.

When I get a restart error on mine it's because I have it on a power strip. I don't open the door to turn it on. The closure M error is the door was opened and closed. If you are using one or the other start up try lifting the latch and closing it a few times and inserting a coin then pressing the spin reels to see if it will clear it. Is the bottom of the candle flashing with the closure M error? Got kind of a catch 22 error going on.

I'm going to say optics alignment. You moved the machine and the game cabinets on these machines are pretty flimsy so you may have to realign the door optics.

Can't the door optics be permanently bypassed?

Have you tried inserting a coin??? Some errors will not clear utility the next game is played, I.e. closure/restart messages. Just saying, excuse me if this has already been tried.

Good point Roz, my Triple Double Diamond With Cheese always says reatart after I turn it on until I play the first coins. I  shut my machines off with zero credits so I have to drop coins first anyway. Always saw the message, just never paid attention to it

I think some here may be confusing "Closure M" with "Door open M". Closure M simply implies that the main door was once opened and is now in the closed position. If you're getting "Closure M", your door optics are most likely working just fine otherwise you would be seeing "Door open M". I'm almost certain that "Restart" indicates that the machine was power cycled while credits were on it.

Yep!  :I_agree_1: A "Closure" message is a notification, NOT an error.

Problem solved. Was trying to diagnose the prob over the phone. The customer said the machine would not accept any money, come to find out after a few hours of checking parts, settings, a clear and setup that the machine would accept bills the whole time  :duh:  it just would not accept coins. Would have been nice to know up front. Problem was the spring on the back of the comparitor that keeps tension on the sample coin had popped off during transport. Easy fix lol, who hasn't been there before.
Thank you all for the input.
