S2000 Topper Where do you get power?
« on: July 06, 2015, 01:23:22 PM »
Have never had a machine with topper so am lost a bit.  Have 2 cables one about 3 ft long that I can find a place to plug it in in upper box and light inside works. The other has about a 7in cable and I cannot find any place that it will reach. This is a DD I- machine with tall top box. Any help would be great.

The larger plug with three wires is for the candle. Should be the same as your old candle plug.

Your other plug plugs into this board in the top box. Some older machines don't have this board.

I have the long cable plugged into board and light in topper works fine.  What I cannot find is someplace to plug cable for candle in. That just leaves  circle of leds with no cable at all. This is all new to me . Thanks for the help

Did you have a candle on the machine before you had a topper? There should be a wire/cable up top with a plug on it that  fits the candle plug on the topper.
Are you saying the circle of LEDs are not working? They should come on with the long cable plugged into the top box.

I guess I am not explaining this well enough. I purchased this with topper installed and when I picked it up it would not fit into my SUV. Prior owner removed it and I got it home. Have not been able to get Topper or Candle to work as they should. I plugged long cable into upper box board and tubes light up no LEDs.  Have yet to find any place to plug candle Hope this helps some. Do not want to burn up something.

Did you see the topper working when you bought the machine? If so the candle plug should be there. Florescent and leds should work together when the smaller plug is connected. The larger plug with the 3 prongs is just for the candle and does not have anything to do with the leds.

Might be worth popping off the faceplate where the fluorescent bulb is to see if there are any cables that are not connected inside of the topper.  4 little screws and the chrome portion of the topper will pull forward and come off.

Took off front of topper and found no wires that were not connected. I guess I will have to live without LEDs.  Still have to find where candle plugs in.  Found a long cable in bottom of case that has what looks like some kind of ballast about an inch square could that be what I am looking for?  Thanks for putting up with all my questions.

That's the one it must have dropped to the bottom.
The LED ring is puzzling, do you know if it worked before you picked the game up? Some sell just the ring.

Looks like It was working.
I don't think this will help but have you tried a different spot for the long wire? There are usually a few of the same type plugs on that distribution board.

You can test the power dist. board for 12VDC. The orange and orange with black are 24vdc for fluorescent and the red and red with black are 12vdc for chaser lights. Look at your plug to see which 2 you are looking for. If no 12vdc on board unplug the 4 wire straight connector from the right side of the board and check those 2 red wires.
