DSP CHIP QUESTIONS

What dose the DSP CHIP do on a enhanced board ? Can other games be played using same DSP CHIP?

The sound will not work without it using the dsv simm card!.  Yes,most all others can be used with the chip.

 So during game exchanges this DSP chip stays installed for all games? or dose this 002 chip only work with certain games?

What is the difference between a dspl0002 and dspl0006? i have seen machines with either.

I've never seen a 6 in a S2000. I have only seen them in 044 based games.

I have 2 s2000 now with a 6 both are 5 reelers. Any chance that could be the cause of the random reel tilt i was getting?

Don't know but it's worth a shot. I installed a DSP backwards once. Not only did I have no sound, it ruined the chip. Luckily no other damage. It got hot enough to burn the label in just a couple minutes.

Ran a test today no change with both chips reel tilt i forgot i fixed with by swapping the sgs. I tested with no dspl and the game booted to accounting menu and no sound. Now i kinda want a schematic of the legacy adapter.
