IGT S2000 power loss

Greetings,

I've had something rather odd happen to my machine.  My machine has lost pretty much all power just out of the blue. It was working fine one evening and the next morning, nothing. I though maybe a power surge in the middle of the night did something to it but there wasn't one. There is power going to the machine; the service lightbulb in the belly lights up and when I turn on the power switch, the red LED light on the printer comes one, but there are no reel lights, top light, door light, no power to the bill validator, no LED display. All I can hear is a slight hum coming from around the reels. The machine hasn't been moved since it was set in its resting place in October. I checked the power cord to see if it was loose, but was just fine. Would this be a battery issue, or a fuse somewhere in the machine (if there is one), or a bad power unit? (I have the machine plugged into a surge protector that I bought new at the time I got the machine)

One of the white fluorescent ballast my have gone bad. Try unplugging each of the three ballast power plugs.
One in the upper cabinet, one in the belly door and one on the left side of the cabinet by the reels. If still no power then as Ohio said above it's probably the power supply behind the reels

Thanks for the info. I pulled the reels and checked the electrical  connections and everything was fine. Seems that I've traced the issue to the power switch, either its flaky or a loose wire, which I have yet to check. (i was able to get power back to it, and it's up and running fine.)
