Bypass Bill stacker door GK
« on: July 31, 2015, 09:47:27 AM »
Problem:

open belly door to access bill stacker/cash can.
Get tilt: bill validator door open and machine sticks
If i open the main door or both, then the tilt clears.

there is no "door" in front of the cash can. i'm sure the sensor was bypassed; but, now it's not working.
what color are the wires that go to this?

thanks,

What exactly does the error message say?  Opening the belly door should give you a Door Open M error unless the door switch has been bypassed.  Further opening the BV door if you had one would give you an error message of Door Open MB (main and bill validator).  If only the bill validator door is open you will have an error message saying Door Open B.

belly door switch is bypassed/disconnected. no error message for that.

the only tilt message i get is "Bill Door Open". if i pull the cash can out when the main door is open, i get the message; but, it resets as soon as i replace the can and close the door. if i access the can by only opening the belly door, the "bill door open" fault comes on and stays on until i open/close the main door.

there is no microswitch for the bill door (which isn't there anyway) and the wires going to it have been bypassed.

my best guess right now is that deactivating the belly door switch and the bill door simultaneously causes this?

not a major issue, but i like to be able to pull out the cash can by only dropping the  belly door.

Ok, I think I follow you now.  You're talking about the big error message in the black dialog box on the screen.  Yeah, the only way to clear that error is to open the main door then.  The best way to solve your problem in my opinion would be to re-enable the belly door switch.  Then when you open the belly door you will get a door open m message at the bottom of the screen and the lower candle blinks.  Remove your cash can, and you see the big bill validator stacker open error message on the screen.  Replace the can and that goes away, then close the belly door and door open m goes away and is replaced by closure m.  The machine is playable then and after you play a game the closure m message will disappear.
