Printer settings - Something's missing
« on: August 03, 2015, 06:23:54 AM »
Hey Guys,
I just got my s2000 up and running this weekend for the first time.  So it takes bills in the validator and plays normally.  The next step is to get the TITO up and running.  After a couple hours last night I can't get any further than "Sorry, printer is not available"  and it forces the hand pay or cancel as the only options.  I swapped the printer with one from another machine (That isn't up and running) and I get the same thing. I have tested the printer in Option 4.7.2 and it will spit out a ticket.
I did a key chip set up and set all the settings as described here:
http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=319.0

Except for One....
3.4.1.1.4 SAS Primary Hand Pay - HAND PAY REPORTING DISABLED
"DISABLED" is not an option that is available, I can't remember but I think it was only primary or secondary...I'm at work, sorry.

Any help on other settings I should check would be appreciated.

Sounds like it should be working. Please confirm the TITO settings again. (I suggest printing them out it makes it easy to follow).
Make sure printer is enabled.

Sorry, something happened with the font on my original post.  The setting above was one that I couldn't change.  I wonder if this gives a clue.

Did you turn the bally miser off before trying to set SAS?
If that is still on that may be why SAS does not look correct.

Yes, Bally Miser is disabled.

I got the printer working.   :applause:

I referenced this thread.

Just a note that the thread/Guide I linked in my original post is for specific after-market hardware.

But I am still trying to get a definitive answer to my question at the bottom of that thread.

If you're asking if a "stock" machine can just be programmed to accept the tickets it prints, no it can't. If you install a TITO system then you can reuse your printed tickets in your machine. Is that what you're wanting to know? If you could reuse the original tickets in the b/v, there would be nothing stopping people from printing tickets and using them in the casino the machine came from. And they wouldn't want that.

I don't have one on my S2000 but I hear from those that do that they work really well. Also if you have multiple machines the tickets can be used from one machine to another. I don't know all about them but they sound pretty good.  Yeah that AC trip would end up in a back room with a guy named Lou and a hammer.  :duh:
