WTB: Replacement printer for IGT 17” chop top Game King

Anybody have a printer for a chop top 17” Game King?  Mine’s starting to print light, and the machines can’t recognize the tickets.

Hum a few more bars.  I’ve never done this and I had no idea that these solutions existed.  A thermal printer pen?  What am I cleaning and do you have a link to the cleaning products?

ebay look for themo printer cleaning pen , i clean the head where the paper runs across, they cost less than 5 bucks

themo printers do not use ink , i have no idea how you came up with that one

Sometimes if your tickets are to old they will print lighter.

Light print on any thermal printer is usually caused by a worn pressure drive roller (The rubber roller directly over the print head). The diameter of the roller decreases with thousands of rotations (Just like your car tires loose diameter (tread) after thousands of miles). Decreased diameter creates less tension (pressure) on to the paper, which presses on to the tiny heaters in the print head. Thus causing the "light print" problem. That is assuming you've cleaned the roller and printhead with Q-Tips and rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol or alcohol pads. And are using good quality printer tickets. NOTE: Do NOT use anything metal to clean or move the alcohol pad around! You risk destroying the print head if you scratch it!
