Ok
1. Replaced the wba11 head with a wba12 , cycles but the duck bill still doesn’t light up and still doesn’t accept bills.
2. Ran set015, same issues.
3. Installed harness to go from wba11 to wba12 complete with transport.  Ran set015, same results, cycles but no light.
4. Also did the dip test.

Could a cap/resistor/diode be bad on the motherboard?

That feeling of ignorance is an ugly realization.

appears that you have been able to accomplish a few things and understand the menus and test menus. here is an INVALUABLE guide that actually tells you what all those numbers mean and what you are setting. Using these cards you can test every switch, light bulb, and function of the s plus machine.
