19” GK Fan Question

Greetings,

I have a 19” cabinet with a crt monitor.

Does not have fans, but seems to need them.  The board sometimes crashes when left on for a long time.  I suspect it’s overheating.

There is no mounting hardware, just one bolt coming out near the vent.

The shelf in-between the bottom and top cab has no hole for a horizontal fan mount.

How is a fan supposed to be installed?

There should be a fan to the right rear of the mpu housing. This one is important to keep the mpu from overheating. Also, there is usually a fan above the monitor section that expels the heat into the top box. There is usually another in the top box that expels heat to outside.

If anyone has a 19” cabinet,  I’d love some photos of the brackets and mounting for the fans.

Can you please post a picture of your cabinet. Just to clarify,  does it have a 19" monitor ?
On some 17" cabinets that have a fan on the left side rear top of the monitor section, the fan mount slid into tabs on the cabinet and over a stud. I will see if I can get to one of these.

This machine has a 19” crt.

There is a bolt for a fan in the top of the round top & next to the vent behind the monitor.

Ok, not the cabinet I was thinking.  I don't have that type here, so can't post photos.  I will post the ones I took this morning from a different cabinet, just for the mpu fan and cabinet fan ideas.   Nice machine . Hopefully someone with that cabinet can jump in.
