Door Open MCB won’t clear
« on: August 27, 2024, 06:07:44 AM »
I have a 19 inch upright Game King with a 3802 cpu board.
Now my problems first started when the main door switch wires shorted with what I believe to be the wire for the internal light. This blew a trace and a few resistors on the motherboard that resulted in the main door sensor being stuck open.
After repairing the trace and replacing the resistors the machine will now detect the main door as shut when in clear mode after performing a key chip reset. However when the machine boots up after this I am greeted with a door open MCB error with no tilts on the machine.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to troubleshoot this further?

By motherboard, do you mean the backplane, or MPU?  Sounds like you missed some damage. I would think the MPU would be damaged as well. Multiple door open faults are usually related to MPU hardware problems. Does the machine play?
I Repair IGT 50X, 1270, 039, 044, and S+ MPU's. Contact me at slots@lookelectronics.com for more information.

The backplane.

This was the only board that had visible damage, but there could be problems with the other boards as well. Everything looks fine, except for the door messages. I can’t run the game because I can’t get the door messages cleared (unless there’s some way of bypassing this requirement I don’t know about)
