So this morning I decided to go through all of the molex connectors to check the connections, wires, and if any burned. I found that the red wire in this picture was literally sitting in place. At some point it must have fallen out and put back in by hand. The connector pin is still in place inside of the molex. I’m not sure if this is the actual cause or not because it should still work though it isn’t properly seated. Also, should that light be on? It isn’t.

I would rather replace the whole part than chase capacitors. Anyone sell the whole part?

The light isn't on when the door is open. It comes on when the optics align.

I ordered the part yesterday, once it’s arrived and installed I’ll let you all know. I REALLY hope this takes care of the issue, that bottom green light is the only thing throwing me off.

The bottom light flashing shows that the door has been opened. It will go off as soon as a paid credit is played. Pushing the pseudo credit button on the comparitor is not a paid credit. It has to be when the door is closed and latched and the machine is ready to play.

Opened it up again today, wiggled some wires, plugged in the bill acceptor shut the door and it worked. It was going fine for about 10 minutes, then stopped. I had about 10 credits in, the handle wouldn’t pull, the only thing I could do is the spin button. Once all the credits were gone, it went back to not accepting coins.

Since you have a bill unit in the machine, you have a belly door which will open, you can do this to actually see what is going on with the coin in units and perhaps fake it out to see if it will work.  remove the cc-16, remove the two screws that hold in the cc-16 bracket and coin in optics, unplug the harness from the door harness, now you should have the whole coin in assembly in your hand, open the belly door,  plug in the assembly back into the door harness, lay a piece of cardboard on the belly door and rest the coin in unit on it, have the cc-16 plugged in as well, make sure nothing is going to short out something, power up the machine, and close the door, after the internal diagnostic test is run the machine should be ready to play. the LED on the cc-16 should be on, (this is the only time you will see that) holding the unit fairly level, put a coin in the cc-16 and see what happens, you can remove the cc-16 (let it plugged in) and put a coin in the coin in optics and see what happens.  this should tell you alot about what is going on. there is also the diagnostic flip cards available in the S+ section, use these to call up the test for the handle, it will test the handle coil operation, those cards will direct you to be able to test every lamp and switch and operation of everything in that machine.

hope this helps

Yesterday I received my replacement CC and wiring harness. I installed it, and worked like a charm. This issue has been SOLVED. Again, thanks to everyone who helped. Hopefully I don’t run into anymore issues.

On a side note, does anyone here buy parts to refurbish?
