There's a general misconception on how the payback percentages increase the enjoyment of playing a machine. You cannot tell the difference. I could setup 2 machines side by side with the same game, and the lower percentage machine may pay out more than the higher percentage machine on a regular basis, just purely due to random chances. If you really sit down and explore the pay backs on a machine set to 92% vs 98% for example, you will note that the differences in the payout frequency are negligible. The only thing that really changes are the lower pay combinations (they come up slightly more often), but those small payouts we rarely ever notice since they are typically "loser" spins (i.e. bet 200 get 40). I do have a working percentage chip, but I really bought it just to complete the platform's capability. I've probably done it maybe 4 times over the last 10 years of game changing. I could never tell the difference in gameplay.
