IGT S2000 DOOR

Hello. I found this on my machine there this Main door latch goes to lock the main door struggling out the cabinet because the bent hooks. Are this a normal wear and tear for a IGT S2000 slot machine?

have you seen how the guys changing the cash boxes treat those poor machines. saw one once where the kid slammed the door so hard the belly glass broke

From this picture. Are the normal wear and tear from the Main door latch after many year use?

This is normal for an S2000 door latch.  If the latch is difficult to push down you can take a small crescent wrench and adjust it to fit over the latch top on the cabinet side, first photo, and then pull it forward slightly.  I have found over time that closing and banging the door latch to it's face will bend it back slightly making it difficult to push down the latch.  You can also take a file and dress up all areas where the door and cabinet latches come together.

OK. If i undestand this right i have to bent this top hook on the door latch a little bit so that will be easy to open and lock?

The slide bar you marked with a red X has 3 hooks that hook into 3 areas on the right side of the cabinet.  Make sure these are not bent or have burrs on them.  If so address them.  The bar should slide up and down easily.  If the lock is hard to turn then look at the tab on the lock or the lock itself.  Take the lock out and see if the slide bar, red X, then latches easily.  Also make sue the cash box door is taped shut and the metal frame that holds the top glass in is down in it's channel.

so i have to straighten out these hooks as straight as possible for these to be easy to open to close the front door?

I have to find a replacment Main door latch to my machine, but i can't find it some place.
