Blade Feature 22/32 games top monitor issue
« on: February 26, 2019, 10:37:43 PM »
So I have acquired a couple feature 22/32 games.  I understand the picture is sideways on the top screen, but in my case:

1. Star Trek Enterprise (totally black second screen) game plays correctly otherwise, but top screen is always blank.  Monitor is on, and has a sync signal, but totally black
2. Ferris bueller, game plays fine, but the top screen is missing a lot of stuff.  Picture attached.

I have tried different OS versions and they all do the same thing.  Cabinet is a BB2 and works correctly with other blade games.  I even loaded my new Pirate Queen game and it worked flawlessly after I loaded the aforementioned feature 22/32 games.

Anybody run into this issue?

Not much help here but we have tried numerous TVs/monitors to try and get Star Trek to show up top.. I was told it needs a specific resolution monitor or won't work. There was a certain model TV that supposedly worked but I have not gotten that info yet.

I think Gunner had the actual monitor with facade for Star Trek for sale a while back..

*edit - We have tested Star Trek on a Blade, 22/32 BB2 cab and regular BB2 cab. No luck on any of those..

All those vertical BB3 games work fine for me and show entire screen.  I am using a NEC v323 which has multiple resolutions so no issues.
If it ain't broke don't mess with it.....

Is there a way to see what resolution Star Trek locks in on that monitor?

The Native Resolution of the monitor is 1920 X 1080 16:9 aspect ratio but I would have to power up that game to see what it is set at.  I currently have Ruby Slippers 2 installed.

Also, earlier on I was using a DV1 Detective Plus to force resolutions on a 22" monitor that would not display correctly.  You might try that too, much cheaper.  I also found a 22" Kortek Aristocrat monitor that works good for vertical games.

Ok, I will try a 1080p computer monitor.  I believe these bb2 monitors are 1680x1050 types.
