Aristocrat Mk2.5 Help Needed
« on: April 28, 2019, 01:42:27 PM »
Hello
I have an Australian Mk2.5 machine that was once Guns N Roses, unable to find a game board with that game, I purchased a number of boards from NZ, including 3 Processor Boards (one with the red buttons), I have been unable to reset the roms and have tried all the boards even changing some of the chips around trying to get something to happen, attached are 2 photos of the best result I have been able to achieve, any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Looks like it just needs a RAM clear (assuming the coin fault isn't pointing to anything bad). Go into the audit menu and turn on the jackpot key and (assuming your board has these) press the first 3 red buttons on the board (Robot Test, AUX1 and Memory Reset) at the same time and it should reset to factory default. I honestly don't know what to do if the board doesn't have the reset/test buttons though.

I just tested this exact same game in MAME (PROM number 4VXEC5357 aka "Wild One") and the results in your screenshot can be replicated by parsing junk data as NVRAM, and then cleared in the above method.

Hi Mate
Thanks for your reply, the boards do have those buttons but I have been trying to do the reset without any luck, I have 3 different processor boards and none of them will reset so I am not sure what else could be done to reset it? Wild one is not the original game board for this machine, not sure if that would be effecting it?
