The old one was a 2008 wells-gardener the monitor was dimmish and looked brownish, but the picture was clear / sharp just dim. I replaced with a ceronix 22 dc wide viewing angle monitor. When installed and game was loaded I am seeing these black horizontal lines going up the monitor. The old one never did that. I plugged in the monitor from same vga cable that's in the machine into a laptop and did not see the back scrolling. I tested the volts coming from the power supply to the molex and that was 23.9 volts. That's good. Any ideas about what I can do? I have been on the phone with ceronix trying to fig this out. Any tests I can do?

These are vids of the issue

I seen that before, if you have a fan in the top box try disconnecting the power to it temporarily.  I think the  monitor cable is picking up interference.
If it ain't broke don't mess with it.....

Hi all VGA cable is good, I unplugged fan did not help.  =0(   I am thinking of replacing video card. once in a wile when I boot up the maching the bottom screen will be wrong size and shifted over to the right making game unplayable. I have to reboot to fix.

Does this sound like a vid card issue?

Plug a laptop to it and see if it still does it.  Does your monitor pull +12v form the cabinet or does it have an ac power cord and the monitor have an internal power supply?

Hi rick! sorry was gone for work.. So it was connected to a 12v pinout then ceronix gave me a 24v pinout plug to use. Both had same result. I put a multimeter on it and was getting 12 / 24 volt. I plugged a laptop into monitor but used bb2's power and she issue did not appear. Also once in a while when I boot machine the bottom monitor will have a shifted video image, like too big for the screen and shifted to the right. A reboot fixes it. I put new cpu paste on video card still same issue. also there is no cpu box cover. I was told it was better to run machine without it if fan ever quits it could breath. fan on side of cpu box and on cpu runs fine.   Also when I plugged in monitor to bottom monitor hdmi no issues ether. any ideas?

If there are not issues when plugging into laptop, then that clear the monitor and power.  At this point, my best guess is that there's some filter cap or something that is causing the issue on the mpu.  I would try another mpu.  Also whoever told you it was better to run the mpu without a cover was wrong.  The cover is there so that the air flows in a specific way to cool the components.  When you have no cover on, there's no air current flowing through some of the passive heatsinks.  It is always best to run the mpu with a cover and a working mpu fan.

You don't have a spare mpu?  They are cheap enough, just buy one from a reputable dealer here.  You should always have spares on slot machines.  These things are now obsolete and the bb2's are in the time frame where they are all being sold off and/or parted, so parts are cheap and plentiful, but that is not going to be the case much longer.  So I suggest you pick a couple spares mpus.  I never bother fixing mpu boards, unless it is a known problem with a known fix.  If you pay a tech to diagnose and fix your mpu, you will probably pay more than buying a known working one.

You’re definitely not wrong!  The hardest thing is is knowing what they send you is it junk or if it’s even the fix.  I’m wondering how much I should be paying for an mpu.
