s2000- no door optics and reels disconnected error

i use this machine for testing, turned on occasionally. i turned it on and im getting reels disconnected error, and main door open.  in main door test, shining a strobe at the cabinet optic gets me the changes from zero to 1, and back and forth.  looking at the door optic with my phone camera, i do not see a strobe.  tried a different optic, same deal.  are the problems related?

Do the reels have tension with the power on? If it's a 1270 check the fuses on the mother board.

504 board, no tension on the reels, battery 3.66 V. no varta, long gone, no corrosion

Ooh. Sounds serious. No power from the mother board to the reels. Something has went bad whether it be the MB or MPU. One other thing I would try is the power supply. Be sure it is completely seated or try another one if you have one available. You can check the output voltage at the MB connector J10 (lower right side). Solid orange is +25V, red +13V & the solid black pin#6 should be around +9V which is the MPU start up voltage.

its working again, no idea why. i did reseat connectors again. maybe that was it. time will tell
