E Series PS wire mapping
« on: December 06, 2019, 07:36:55 AM »
Before I start re-checking all the connections here... I made a visual so I won't mess this up.  I've learned the hard way, so I always makes notes and pics  :duh:

Can someone that has seen these way more than I have, look at this arrangement and see that that alone, is not an issue?  I don't think all my boards are getting power still and want to at least make sure my wires are in the right spot.

I have read, I think here, that the #11 wire in this pic is the power one..... ...and notice there are only two jumper wires.... I have also seen on here people have 3?

I assume this machine was fully operational at some point....but I just want to make sure I'm not missing something glaring.

Thanks in Advance all and happy Friday ))

Download a free PDF of the E-Series manual at www.slotmachinerepair.com under "helpful PDF's"
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

Thanks bad, I actually have the manual but couldn’t really find the answer to that question
I may end up sending you my boards for testing if you do that still... 👍🏼

Sounds like a plan, then if you have further problems you can blame the wiring or connectors and know the boards work.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

here is a flow diagram i made for the E1 power supply - there wiring for e2 is similar
power supply   j1   1    23-1
power supply   j1   2    23-1
power supply   j1   4    90-1
power supply   j1   5    90-2
power supply   j1   6    90-3
power supply   j1   7    90-4
power supply   j1   9    18-1
power supply   j1   10    18-1
power supply   j1   12    38-1
power supply   j1   13   10
power supply   j1   15   83
power supply   j1   16    83-1
power supply   j1   17    83-2
power supply   j1   18    83-3
power supply   j1   19    83-4
power supply   j1   20    90-5

2 plugs are "jumped" j1/j2 and 9/10 - if you look at the back of the p/s board you see that those 2 connections go to one trace. if you have a 3rd jumper - check and see where it is attached - maybe some mod in the machine trying to use a function
