Bally Model 1103 Twenty One
« on: December 17, 2019, 04:27:00 PM »

As very few information is available online... here a video demonstrating the machine.
It's a 1976 (built date 25/01/1977) machine, model no 1103.  Very few info online.

For this, a topic with some pictures and a gameplay video.

It has (adjustable) jackpot up till 400. Now set at 200.

A blackjack feature to have a winning card combination.  If you have, it adds a letter in the spell out of twenty one in the top board.  Once twenty one is complete you have a bonus feature.  A 7 on center reel pays out 20 for a few turns.
It's also a standard fruit machine
Has hold feature.

And a bullseye match on centerline gives you payout for all fruit matches but on top, center and bottom line for the next 10 pulls.

And it pays out directly.

I would like to add a bell but anybody know where I should hook it up.
I believe it's an edwards #55 4 inch 6V?

Here's the video... :

traditionally the bell has a two pin amp connector.  One wire is red (10-2) and the other is blue (20).  The 20 wire is coming directly from the 6V fuse.

wire 10-2 goes to one of the reel contact plates - usually reel 3.  It's also usually pin 1 on the larger reel unit plug.

if you don't have any obvious wiring, you may need to look at the reel wipers/contact plates and see if you find or add wiring there to connect a bell.  Bell circuits are usually the bottom wipers.

Thank you Wolftalk for the detailed info.

I'll try to figure it out and see what's there (or not there) so I can add a bell 'factory' style.

What a beautiful and rare game! I hope that you get the bell working soon.   I have to say that you won't be hearing the bell much.   You  had an incredible number of plays without a single win.  That is like my Arrow Line.   Sucks your money but it have the highest pay scale of any Bally EM ever made when it does hit.

Enjoy

Thank you David for posting.
I have never seen a credit machine that doesnt require you to press the side button to play a coin.  That being said, any credit machine I have ever seen is multiple coin continental so you can play 1 to 8 coins.

I also like that it takes quarters, adds credit, and pays out in coins.  Mine simply adds more credit when you win.

Yes the direct payout makes it fun.   And indeed, not being a multiplier makes it possible to play it this way.
On the flyer it states "prepared for payout", I think other models don't support this.

I often give myself 100 credits, play a lot and when credits are down to zero, I put my wins back in and see what percentage I got on that run ;)

great!

if possible, scan in color at 300 dpi and save as png or tif.   Color makes it a lot easier to extract the circuit from the background noise.  The file will likely be very big - typically 50-200MB if the paper is yellowed or blue.

if it's some kind of flatbed that the schem won't fit on, you can scan it in chunks that overlap about 20% ... then software can automatically stitch the pieces together.  Don't worry about orientation or alignment, as long as there's overlap, it works.

you didn't get a payout counter diagram in the package?
