Hello,
I have an IGT Vision Mata Hari without topper. So I bought a plexi-free topper and installed it on the machine.
I pass the power cable through the top of the machine to reach the top box ... and what was my surprise ... the power distribution board is empty of any connector !
The plug coming from the topper must plug into a square connector, the installation is very simple, but if the card is not powered there will be nothing ...
I need to bring the power to the 4pin rectangle connector on the left. This socket distributes 13 vdc and 25 vdc on the various connectors of the board.
These voltages of 13 and 25 vdc are used in several places in the machine, I had to find a free socket on which I could plug myself. Luckily a connector from the power supply is available.
So I made a cable out of wire from a pinball harness.
I needed a 6 pin connector on the power supply side and a 4 pin connector on the power distribution board side.
Between the top box and the central part of the machine, there are openings which allow the cable to pass through.
I put on a cable tie without tightening it, it just serves to hold it in place.
The connection on the power supply side. I put small color markers so that they match the color of the original wiring.
The connection on the power distribution board side. Warning ! one must not be mistaken in the order of tensions. At the top the 25vdc, below the 13vdc, the voltages are listed on the left of the connector. See photo 1 of this article.
That's it, the topper works, the fluorescent tube and the LEDs around the edge. I just have to do the Mata Hari decal.
