WBA calibration clarification

Hello all. I have a WBA12/13SS that will accept 1-50, but not tickets. Ive eliminated the machine (S2000) and have tested a different validator that will accept tickets and bills in the machine - so i know its the transport unit/head and not the machine settings itself. My printer prints perfect tickets. So here is my issue. I have made a calibration paper and changed the dip-switch settings as instructed in the sticky post on this section. When I reinstall the transport and power the machine up, it says “printer comm error” . At this point it the bezel light is NOT lit, but it will accept the calibration paper but take it in about 3/4 of the way, long pause, then spits out. Then flashes an error.

I was reading a WBA manual and it claims you need additional cables to run the calibration test, and/or a computer with additional cables. Nobody on NLG
even mentions having to buy extra cables and test equipment to acomplish what seems would be a simple field calibration. Also, i have the dip switches set correctly as both members here and the WBA manual states. Please help! I want this BV to accept tickets!

What happens if you install the problem head into the other cabinet?
Still doesn't work?

Unfortunately i cant do that swap because my other S2000 that i currently have doesn't work! One has a bad board which id like to send out to Looks and the other just needs some repairs to be up and running.

Swap just the head and see if the comm error goes away. If not you have a problem with the transport and may need replaced

could someone tell me where to find/locate the Dip switches on a S2000 3 reel with bonus reel. I think I need to recalibrate the WBA BV because it doesn't accept tickets very often. I have cleaned the bv several times. I  do have paper to make 0a card. I  had one reply that said S2000 doesn't have dip switches. I am totally confused.

There are no dip switches on a S2000. WBA's have dips on the right side of the transport.  Yes you can swap WBA's from one machine to another.

If there are no dips o. the S2000 reel machine can ijyst use the recalibration paper to recalibrate??

The dips to do the calibration of the BV are on the right side of the WBA transport. You will see 2 RED leds by the dip switches. Turn the power off before changing dip switches

Why don't you go into the NLG File System and download a manual_WBA_Flip_Print.pdf documentation sheet for your bill validator?
