Ballys 6000 Why? Why Not?
« on: July 23, 2016, 06:16:43 PM »
Could anyone tell me the pros and cons to ballys 6000 spin and win.  I keep hearing to stay away from the machine.  I am new to slots but have a engineering background and going to learn the IGT s2000 first but I really want a spin to win in my collection .

My first slot was a Bally EM... I like it but EM's are a challenge for me. My next was a IGT S plus which I LOVE. I have a few now. I then bought a IGT S2000 and loved it. I have more now! Then I got a Bally 6000 - wait I bought two! I had a blast learning something different and got both up and running, got the correct software to match the glass and reel strips.
I don't know what's better to have first but if you want a Bally 6000 spin and win, get one! There's plenty of help here if you need it.
I'm sure someone will chime in soon with pros and cons as well.

I have 3 Bally Cash Wheels... They're a great machine.  There aren't  many issues that can't be resolved through NLG members. I recommend installing the AA battery back-up so when you get the dreaded " Low Battery"  message; you simply put in a new battery  and then uninstall the dead one... It will save you the hassel of reprogramming the machine.  The only downside about the machine in my opinion is If you need to reprogram it as there are about 60 options you need to toggle through... other than that ; it's  awesome.    Get one.... They're great !!!!   Good Luck.  Bill

I have no experience with the Bally 6000 so I don't have an opinion on why, but I do have on why not.  You can easily get an S9000 with a cash wheel and it is a much more versatile platform, also easier to configure.  They have an LCD top screen which can be used to play alpha video titles (if you don't mind looking up while playing).  You can also install the popular reel games like quick hits and hot shots in the cabinet.

Can an op move this to bally reel games please.

Although I don't own the game you're referring to I chose to go with Bally S6000 machines because most parts are easy to find and relatively inexpensive. For example a S6000 power supply can be replaced for $20 from Jameco whereas others are considerably more expensive. Also they're pretty easy to diagnose and fix if there's a problem.
