WMS BB1 HHSR animator board and wiring, aka EBB animator board
« on: September 02, 2017, 11:22:38 AM »
I have the HHSR button panel but need the circuit board and associated wiring to install Zeus 2 game, unless there is a workaround to run the game w\o the board.

Thanks.

I bought one from Spin a year ago. One can forgo the "SPN hub" and directly power the animator board. I have never seen a hub for sale.

Which plug is used for power on the animator board?  Do you have the pin out?

Use a cat 5 cable from the logic to the animator board, the WMS ribbon from the board to the button 5v+ to the inside terminal of the molex 2 pin, common on the outer wire.

Thank you, just what I was looking for.

I assume there is 5v on the J16 connection of the backplane where the harness plugs in for power of the SPN hub, I will need to dig out a meter and check to see if the Red, Yellow or Blue wire would have the 5v.

5v is the top right pin on J16.
bottom row of pins are all ground.

Thank You,
Factory Harness has:
Red=5v (Pin 4)
Yellow=12v (Pin 3)
Blue=24v (Pin 1)

Easy enough to make a 2 wire harness using red (Pin 4) and black (Pin 8 ) from J16.

Thank you Melissa and others, too. Did the circuit board purchase also include the ribbon harness? Any other cabling?  I have CAT 5 cables and I have ordered the item from Spin.

It had the mounting bracket and ribbon yes. Although that wasn't clear in the sales description.

So to be clear, the +5v connection to the animator board goes to the pin of J3 ( the 2 pin connector ) that is closest to the ribbon connector? It also has the J3 label and arrow adjacent to it.

Yes. And for power I elected not to use any system power and instead used an iPhone power cube. You see the validation system which I do use uses the independent system 5v. I do have validation setup for TITO.

Now my own project is getting a Mikohn progressive going on my BB, it's a Dark Art but someone has to do it...
