s2000 Pull handle leakage
« on: December 01, 2018, 01:45:47 PM »
Purchased this yesterday at a garage sale. Got it home to test and clean up and found this red sticky goo leaking from the pull handle. Any Ideas on what this is from? Maybe I need a new part for it?

You will find that on most of them.  Don't worry about it.

It's the bump pad from the pull handle mechanism. They tend to deteriorate with time. Exposure to extreme heat doesn't help either. Wish they were made of a less porous material. I've never seen new ones offered. I usually end up replacing the mech itself with one from another machine & that's a roll of the dice. The handle mech should still operate but will lack a positive ratcheting action.
Quality doesn't cost. It pays.

Thanks so much for the replies, it helps a lot . I thought it was bleeding! Haha
I've only worked on the japanese pachislo machines, so these are new to me. All good info and much appreciated.
