igt s-plus cant clear 41 42 43 codes

igt s-plus I cant seem able to clear the tilt codes tried ram clear and opening the door many times changed the reels out still spits out code 41 or 42 or 43 please help   thanks jeff       16 board

Are they trying to move?If not check your 24V fuse.

they are moving but slow

Step one would be to run a clear chip and clear the board memory.

Is this a machine that was working or did you get it this way? You say it is a 16 MHz board, are the chips 16 MHz or 10 MHz? Wrong chips will make it act up.

If you have a TILT code - typically you can clear it.
Press the white button to go through all of the settings until it comes back to normal.
Turn the jackpot reset key twice.
Close the door.

If the code is re-occurring on a particular reel. I typically recommend swapping reels to another position to see if it moves.
If you look at the corner of your MPU board there is a bank of 5 resistors. If any look totally burnt - swap them with one of the two that look brand new.
The S+ can handle 5 reels but realistically only 3 ever get used that is why there are 5 and 2 of the 5 look new.

I just purchaced the machine and the game prom was for a 10 board and I have a 16. swapped the chip now works perfect.

i had the same problem.i switched reels around,changed harness tried the mpu in another machine and it worked fine.did door opt test good, need less to say some one put the reel glass in off centered and the reels where barely touching the display holder,causing a  drag just enough to toss the code.
